I was on a whirlwind visit to Denver in picturesque Colorado, where you’ll find the spectacular Rocky Mountains, supreme ski resorts and year-round fun for the entire family.

Nicknamed the Mile High City, Denver is a walkable outdoor city offering urban adventures for all ages. There are plenty of things to experience, including the Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver Art Museum, Denver Zoo, farm-to-tale dining, theater and sporting events.

Exciting Shopping Outing

With an extra day in town, I decided to take advantage of the fabulous shops in the Cherry Creek neighborhood. I was excited to while away the hours during a marathon day of retail therapy, surrounded by more than 160 shops and restaurants at Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Exclusive Shops and Name Brands

I was ready to join the other shoppers at Cherry Creek to experience the irresistible and iconic high-end shops, including Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Company, Burberry and Ralph Lauren, as well as my favorite department store, Neiman Marcus.

Much of my day was spent popping in and out of stores, getting updates on the latest fashions and chatting to sales staff and, of course, shopping! Other popular shops include Macy’s, GAP, Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic and Apple. My final stop, Coach, provided me with sensory overload due to the look, feel and smell of the leather.

Break for Lunch

By lunchtime, I needed a mid-day pick-me-up. Accompanied by a glass of wine, Kona Grill’s Oriental salad with chicken was colorful, ample and tasty. The 801 Chophouse and popular Elway’s, a steakhouse co-owned by American football Hall-of-Famer John Elway, are two other options. If you don’t want to break your shopping stride, I noticed several places where you can grab a cup of coffee while you catch up on email using the mall’s free Wi-Fi.
